4th of July in and around Green Country

4th of July TulsaSummer is in full swing and the 4th of July is just around the corner. What is happening around Green Country?

Bixby’s Green Corn Festival – Location: Charley Young Park in Downtown Bixby
June 27th through 29th
A look back the family picnic featuring music, arts and crafts, food, carnival rides and more. Visit their website for a complete schedule and more information.

Blue Bell’s Taste of Summer – Location: Central Park in Broken Arrow
June 29th 10 a.m. -5p.m
For $5 a person for those aged 5 and up, you can enjoy all you can eat ice cream, local bands, arts and crafts, and more. Visit their website for more information.

Rockets over Rhema – Location: Rhema in Broken Arrow
Sunday June 30th
Kicking off the event at 5p.m. is a patriotic tribute in the church auditorium. Then starting at 6p.m. there will be all kinds of events outside- inflatable games for kids, car show, concert (6:30), concessions, and more. And don’t forget the grand finale around 10p.m. with one of the largest fireworks displays in the Tulsa area. Visit their website for more information.

Driller’s Baseball – Location: ONEOK Field in Downtown Tulsa
July 3rd through 5th
With baseball being a great American summer tradition you can catch a Driller’s game. In addition to the game there’s 3 days of fireworks -the day before, the day of, and the day after- the 4th of July. Visit their website for more information.

Guthrie Green Starlite Band – Location: Gurthrie Green in Downtown Tulsa
July 4th
With a special “A Salute to America” this free concert will feature some favorite patriotic tunes. It begins at 8p.m. and will conclude in time to enjoy the Driller’s fireworks -Concessions will also be available. Visit their website for more information.

ONEOK’s FreedomFest – Location: River West Festival Park, Veterans Park, and Blue Rose Cafe’ in Tulsa.
July 4th
With a lot of different food and activities at each location -including but not limited to – music, free inflatable’s, tethered hot air balloon rides, and more. The festivities begin at 6p.m. and leads up to one of the largest fireworks displays in the region starting at 9:40p.m. Visit their website for more information.

Jenks Independence Day Celebration – Location: Main Street Jenks, Riverwalk, and Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks
July 4th
Starting at 10a.m. is the America Freedom Fest on Main Street with live music, shopping, and family friendly activities until 4p.m. In addition there will be all day entertainment at Riverwalk /Los Cabos. Then Sooner Boomfest, one of the state’s largest fireworks will begin at dark. And don’t forget the Oklahoma Aquarium will be open and their back lawn is a great place to watch the fireworks.
